## Aggregate verdict

This is a compelling lightweight shell for running, racing, hiking and travel: it packs small, sheds serious rain and usually breathes well on the move. Fit is the main caution because the current cut can feel roomier, with long arms and a large hood. It also drops hand pockets, and the elastic cuffs divide opinion. Current construction feels substantial, but earlier jackets' service lives do not establish this version's longevity.
