## Aggregate verdict

Buy this when very low carried weight, compact storage, and credible rain protection are priorities. It has performed well in real rain and wind, and owners generally like its fit and breathability. However, backpack friction caused severe localized wear for one hiker after a single wet day, so it is a risky choice with an abrasive or poorly matched carrying system.
