- Description: The Men’s Alta Vista Jacket, made with 100% recycled fabrics, will quickly become your go-to hiking shell. With a water-repellent finish and technical features like an adjustable hood, pit-zip venting and the ability to stow in a secure-zip pocket, it’ll take your trail exploration to the next level.

## Aggregate verdict

Buy it as a light, packable shell for travel, commuting, and hiking, especially if you value pit zips and useful pockets. Most owners stayed dry, including in sustained rain, but a meaningful minority experienced rapid wet-through. It provides little insulation, the hood can obstruct vision without a hat or helmet, and fit varies notably through the shoulders and sleeves.
