Montane Phase vs Phase Lite
Choose the Phase if its regular cut and extended body length fit your walking layers. Choose the Phase Lite if you prefer a trim cut and its streamlined layout with pit zips. Both current manufacturer pages describe three-layer GORE-TEX ePE construction.

The differences that matter
The fit difference is concrete: Montane labels the Phase regular and the Phase Lite trim. That can matter more than a claimed weight saving when you want to wear a fleece or insulated layer underneath. Test raising your arms and reaching forward with those layers on.
Both list a fully adjustable PIVOT 2 hood and pack-compatible pockets. The current versions differ from older descriptions that may still appear in shops or reviews. Comparable verified jacket weights are not available in these snapshots, so we do not assign a precise saving to the Lite name.

Choose Phase if the regular shape and longer body work with your walking setup. Choose Phase Lite if the trim shape remains comfortable over your layers and you want its vent layout. Verify the version when shopping, especially when a listing describes an older fabric construction.
