Rab Downpour vs Downpour Mountain
Choose the Downpour if its conventional hand pockets and 50-denier construction match your walking needs. Choose the Downpour Mountain for pack-accessible A-line pockets and a 40-denier shell. Rab lists the current men’s versions at 377 g and 352.5 g in size M.

The differences that matter
Both use 2.5-layer Pertex Shield and have underarm ventilation. The Mountain name does not mean the ordinary Downpour has no vents. The meaningful differences are the pocket placement and construction you will carry, alongside how each cut works on your body.
The Mountain saves 24.5 g on the current size-M specification sheets. That is a modest gap compared with a pocket blocked by your waistbelt. Check the model codes when comparing stock: the figures here describe QWI-06 and QWI-11, rather than every historical Downpour revision.
