Rab Kangri GORE-TEX vs Downpour Eco: women’s jackets compared
Choose the women’s Kangri GORE-TEX for three-layer construction, waist adjustment and an internal pocket. Choose the women’s Downpour Eco for a lighter 2.5-layer shell with pit zips and pocket storage. Rab lists these versions at 391 g and 280 g.
Based on 258 included owner reviews.
The differences that matter
The Kangri uses a 70-denier GORE-TEX ePE face. The Downpour Eco uses recycled 50-denier Pertex Revolve. Both are waterproof designs with underarm ventilation; the different membrane names alone do not establish a controlled difference in rain protection.
The Downpour Eco explicitly has a non-helmet hood and packs into a hand pocket. The Kangri offers more adjustment around the waist and additional internal storage. These are the women’s model specifications and review groups, so men’s sizing feedback is not used to fill gaps.
