The differences that matter
The Fitz Roy uses a recycled polyester outer, adjustable fixed hood and underarm vents. The Kamet uses a recycled polyamide outer with GORE-TEX ePE, a helmet-compatible hood and pre-shaped elbows. Both can vent mechanically, so vents alone do not require stepping up to the Kamet.
The specifications refer to Fitz Roy MIV9706 and Kamet MIV10557. Both names have appeared on earlier versions, so check the code on stock you are considering. The current construction cannot be assumed to describe every jacket represented in a model-family review group.
