Best Regatta waterproof jackets

By WildVerdict · Published · Updated

Among these three men’s Regatta jackets, consider Pack-It III for simple carried rain cover, Lyle IV for lined packaway storage, or Matt II for stretch fabric and more adjustment. The differences are practical rather than a reason to rank jackets by a single waterproof number.

Based on 361 included owner reviews. Owner evidence spans multiple revisions; current specifications do not describe every reviewed jacket.

The differences that matter

Pack-It is unlined and comes with a separate stuff sack. Lyle has a mesh lining, concealed hood and a pocket that converts into a belt bag. Matt II uses Isotex stretch fabric, adds an inner pocket and provides adjustable cuffs as well as a packaway hood.

This guide covers three published models. Pack-It’s manufacturer page warns of mixed seasonal waterproof ratings, so the actual label needs checking. Jacket weights were not verified from these pages, and fabric weights in grams per square metre must not be mistaken for complete garment weights.
